well i have been trying for the longest time to figuere out why i could not get my factory tach to work and i think i finaly found the problem. only thing is the resistor or whatever it is was burnt so bad i cant tell what to replace it with. its location c007. if you are looking at the ecu with the top off and the plug facing away from you its in the middle on the right, below the two green things. i was wondering if someone could take their computer apart and snap a close up pic for me. or maybe tell me the writing on the piece in question so i can replace it.

thanks alot jason

i just cracked open my extra #62 ecu, and no matter how hard i tried to read what was on there, i cant read anything off it.

honestly i wouldnt want to just try to replace it, because more than likely there are several other components that have been fried

well the ecu runs the car just fine, its just the tach doenst work. i have an after market tach hooked up to the 180 cas wire. but i hate seeing my stock tach sitting on zero when im driving.

thanks jason

you think maybe something caused this and once you get the ecu fixed it may happen again, just a thought. and also i have a tomei ecu for sale.

i think it might be alright, the guy that had the car before me was a moron. the temp sensor was hooked up to the wrong wire for the gauge, and i had to re wire the whole sr swap, and a bunch of other stuff. in short the car was slower than my 99 prelude which is bad, but now that im getting the kinks worked out it would rape the crap out of my lude. i mean the guy was such an idiot i traded a 92 civic hatch and 300 cash for the 240 with the sr swap and it drove. but thanks for the advice

thanks jason
