hey what's up everyone, does anyone know what the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are on a 1989 240 with the sr20det swap, ane that's it, just the engine.

i was talking to my friend about whether or not my car with the swap would beat this other kid we know with a vette, 2000 i think, i know he would take me 0-60, the vette is 4.9 i think, we were geussing like low 5s for the sr20det. but then in a quarter mile i think i could beat him easily, the only reason i would lose the first couple hundred feet would be because of turbo lag, anyway

please let me know if you know for a fact, thanks

High/mid 5 seconds 0-60
mid 14 second 1/4 mile

that is my guess for a stock redtop SR til someone gets actual proof. Corvette would eat a stock SR.

alright, thanks, but what about running about 16 psi, intake, exhaust, header, and a blow off valve for good measure

Theres no such thing as a header on a turbo car <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Also I dont think its feasible to run 16 lbs of boost on the stock T25....

I dont think a stock SR could take a 2000 Corvette. But I agree with what ca18guy said. Here's a link to autospeed's review of a 180 Autospeed 180 (http://www.autospeed.com/A_1056/page1.html) and a link to Ken's car from Enjuku Racing. But really basic mods and still fast, in my opinion.
Ken's SR (http://www.enjukuracing.com/subpages/kenctw.htm) Oh, and BBSHT240, is that a 0-60ft time or a 0-60 as in it only took you two seconds to hit 60mph, cause thats damn quick to be only running 14.0's.

a stock automatic vette will take a 240SX equipped with a stock redtop SR. off the line, througout the quarter mile, wherever.

Where did you get the idea that you could beat a Corvette. Corvettes aren't no joke. I think you can take a Mustang Cobra stock, if your a good driver, and maybe a Saleen with basic upgrades and like 13psi. But not sure if the Saleen runs 12.1 or 13.1, if its 12.1 you betta hope theres a pothole. But I wouldn't start picking fights with corvettes juss cuz you got an SR. It still is a stock engine.

sadly the mustang cobra would still beat it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> &nbsp;someone in our car club has an SR in coupe, with a few upgrades. he also owns a cobra and he says the cobra is still a little faster. the cobra probably runs 14.0 &nbsp; and a stock SR with 203hp probably runs 15.0 or very high 14's. &nbsp; &nbsp;BUT...who the hell keeps an SR stock for long anyway &nbsp; <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'>

yes 0-60 ft was a 2.0 You will find usually as you add more boost your 0-60 may go up until you learn to drive/launch (johnathon) &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> &nbsp;I have the time slip for ya next time you see me remind me.

As far as the corvettes I beat a older vette like the year before zr1 from a 3rd gear roll on the high way at 7 psi &nbsp; As far as the newer vettes zo6 will eat me alive with 11 psi of boost but i can get a regular c5 from a roll for a gear or 2 never raced one from a stop yet although i try all the time. I can beat zr'1s all day at 11 psi Stock ones that is!

I have a redtop in a s13 coupe that is pretty much gutted

i also have an 89 240sx and have the same plans as you as far as the sr20 swap goes. &nbsp;when i went to price engines and was talking to one shop owner he told me he just did the same thing to an 89. &nbsp;i asked him a million billion questions and one of them was the 1/4 time and he said the guy ran a stock 14.7
