I am debating over the competition stage 2 and the exedy stage 2. I know there are thousand of these threads about which clutch should I get and which one is better in your opinion. But most of the ones i usually see are act vs exedy, exedy usually wins. But I'm curious to see what people have to say about competition clutch. I have heard nothing bad about it, just that they aren't as popular.

Exedy would win this one too.

I have the Competition 6 puck sprung and it works great. Done a lot of "spirited" driving on it and it's held up great. And the prices are good

Once again.. Exedy. I have a hyper single. It feels like an OEM clutch. If exedy is capable of such a feat.. well then umm.. Buy an exedy.

Exedy would be the safe bet.

Thanks guys for all the opinions. I think I'm going with Exedy, my clutch is completely gone and I need a car. I know frsport can get me a good price on it with the flywheel. Thanks again.

i have a comp stage 4 in my car and it holds up great and is good for 450whp/tq. same price as the others and it has a much smaller release point. i love my comp clutch. and i used to use act in my mr2's both stage 2 and 3 and they are realy great for daily driving. i havent fucked with exedy before so i cant knock it till ive rocked it. you know what im sayin

We've been testing the Exedy Triple for the SR all this year. I've got to say it's been working flawless so far. Exedy's quality is definitely up to par.

i have a competition stage 4 sprung w/ fidanza flywheel and drifted the shit out of it in HTM, oval and balcony... i gotta say its performs almost as well as my old ORC stage 3 clutch... for a stage 4 its not as aggressive as my orc stage 3 but its pretty smooth for daily driving... that orc clutch gave my countless neck strains when i used to daily drive it...
btw... i'm running that competition stage 4 on a stock KA... i have that ORC stage 3 single plate on my SR....

i used a stage 2 exedy for a full season of drag racing while driving it 70 miles daily to and from work. It has semi harsh engagement but youll get used to it. Also dont be surprised if you have to make a little adjustment at the pedal to get the free play and pedal height back to spec. i was making around 250 on stock turbo and around 325-350 on nitrous and had no slippage for over 1.5 years. Im currently rebuilding my redtop and plan on re-using the clutch. Im only going to replace the friction surface of my fidanza flywheel.

I just picked up a stage 2 exedy clutch and exedy flywheel at frsport yesterday, can't wait to try it out (after the breaking it in).
Thanks guys for all the thoughts.
