ABS Warning Light

I have an aftermarket wheel on my 97.  Will removing the flashing ABS warning light set of a warning buzzer?

Also, has anyone used a resistor to fool the ABS into thinking that the driver's side airbag is still hooked up (so that passenger side will work and warning light will not flash)?

I removed the flashing warning light and no buzzer went off.  I had heard that it does on some cars.
