Hey fellas ,
I just got my 1996 s14 SE and i wish to get myself into the srt20 realm of things. I have priced around and have found a dude to do the swap for me for 700 then of course there will be some fabricating to be done such as intercooler setup, exhaust, and finally the switch to manual. . . This is where my problem comes into sight... what do i do now?!
I understand i need new pedals etc. and what else? something with the clutch and lines? The dude said he would put in all the additional manual parts for another 100 but i gotta get them. so where the heck do i buy those parts? junk yard any good? does the s13 manual parts fit the s14's? please let me know
thanks guys, and gals

a little searching goes a long way -

but since I'm a nice guy,
as far as hydraulics for the clutch you need:

- clutch pedal
- clutch master cylinder
- clutch hardline (goes from clutch master, thru engine bay to under the car)
- clutch "soft" line - get a new one from SPL parts, the stock rubber one is garbage - goes from the hardline to the clutch slave
- clutch slave cylinder - i'd recommend a new OE one from nissan ($40-$50), I've used aftermarket ones ($20) and they all died on me within a few months.

If you need the clutch components too, you will need:

- clutch fork - is that what its called? lol
- clutch fork dust boot
- throwout bearing
- pressure plate
- clutch
- flywheel
- and maybe pilot bushing, depending if the motor was originally manual or auto.

if you already have an auto SR installed and are planning to swap to manual, you will also need to swap the ECU and know the correct wiring. If you are installing the SR for the first time with the manual setup - you probably already have a manual ECU.

you are in over your head if you plan on paying a guy $100 for putting in a clutch pedal. It's not hard, there is plenty of information throughout the internet and Factory Service Manuals to help guide you through pretty much each step. You need a manual drive shaft, SR radiator (unless you want to ghetto rig it).

What do you mean Fabricating of the exhaust? Is he making it himself? Out of 3in tubing? Not judging his skills but you can easily pick up a ebay special exhaust for $200 shipped and they do about the same as a $600 one from Apex'i.

Now to get manual parts you can either go to pretty much any parts store, Nissan Dealership, NAPA, Checkers, ETC. to pick yourself up a Master cylinder, Slave cylinder, clutch line, (I recently picked up all this things from NAPA for around $60) but getting the pedals, you can pick them up from a junked car, S13, S14, whatever. I'm almost 99% sure that the pedal assembly is universal throughout the 90's, getting them used will save you a gangload of money vs. buying it brand new. But hey, if you have money to waste, go for it.

Not to sound like a dick, but next time try the nifty "SEARCH" feature located at the top of the site and have patience for reading. There are plenty of build threads out there and plenty of help offered from alot of different sites

EDIT: since DaPCWiz (http://www.zilvia.net/f/member.php?u=26347) beat me to it, you don't exactly need a hard and soft line, do a little searching throughout some sites and they offer replacement lines thats just one solid line tracing directly from the Master to Slave cylinder. It will probably save you money in the long run to buy it from these sites. I bought a steel braided line from NAPA about 3 ft. long and routed it to and from the cylinders for cheaper then buying the stock hardlines

if you are putting in an sr swap, you pretty much have everything on the clip.

Yeah, the clip should have everything you'll need except the driveshaft...at least thats what i'd assume, i dont think i've ever seen a clip with a driveshaft.

As far as s13 stuff working on s14's. Everything is useable, except the driveshaft. Only problem is when you throw on the s13 tranny you wont have reverse lights, and you'll throw a check engine light because of a few sensors not being hooked up. Wont affect the car at all. I have all s13 parts on my s14 except the driveshaft and shit runs and drives perfect.

I havent heard anything about them. There are also a few companies that have specials running in the advertising/ for sale section. You may want to check them out as well.

EDIT: i checked out the site you have listed and the way its listed, it looks like you have to pay extra for the Maf and ignitor chips
