Ok, so i need a new bearing, that i know for my front left wheel. Now, i search everywhere and i get 2 results. I don't know which one it is. The price difference is about 100 dollars, so its kinda important. I know that the 5 lug S14's have sealed bearings.. So my question is.. Do i need the whole wheel hub assembly or just the bearing? here's the 2 i come up with:

depends on whether you want a bolt in solution or a "head to the machine shop with your old assy and the new bearing and have it pressed in". Machine shop will charge ~$5 to press in a new bearing, so it's more economical to order the bearings separately and have the shop press em in.

I know for the S13 is a "press" job, but i hear the S14's are sealed.

I don't know any machine shop that would charge $5 for anything related to a press and bearings. expect to pay considerably more and hope you find a shop that hasn't changed it's prices since 1985.

S14 front wheel bearings are sealed and NOT replaceable. You will need to buy the entire hub.

then whats the replacement part they sell thats just the bearing? the one thats pictured in the first post? is the 4 lug bearing different than the 5 lug. I only ask because i have a 4 lug 95 that needs a new wheel bearing, so i was wondering if i can just pressout the old one for a new bearing unit, or do i too need a whole new hub?

4 lug and 5 lug bearings are not different, the hub is the difference...
the rear hubs can be pressed out and changed, that is the replacement pic that you have but the front ones come with complete hub and bearing assembly.

Just buy replacement five lug hubs and convert to 5 lug, you'll want to do it sometime anyway if you ever expect to get decent rims

Yes, I agree with "Contranication"... just go for the 5 lug conversion to get some massive rims for your car. There's no point of taking those beat up bearings to a machine shope. You might as well replace them with a 5 lug hub! Do the whole conversion. You will be very please. Trust me

weUmm...talking about S14 fronts people. Like Russ already said, fronts are sealed, you cant "press" the old ones in the front. You have to buy them from NISSAN brand new with hubs. The rears are the only ones that you can press out.

Also for you S14 owners, when one side goes out...expect the other side to go out too in a couple of months after the other. Just how it is with the front hubs.
