Im digging it. Not a typical swap done and it looks like he executed his plans pretty well.

Exhaust clearance sucks. Would look better without the hood scoop intake. Steel sideskirts need some work. Gauge cluster looks interesting.

i gotta say, i like this car.

its not my idea of an ideal setup, but its fucking awesome. the entire buildup looks like a fun adventure... must be insane to drive. even though i still prefer high revving motors.. this is still pretty cool shit.

i could do without the hood scoop...i want to look as sleeper as possible...but that hood scoop is a diffrent look to the ever sexy silvia.

The steering wheel is on the left hand side of the car, and it was sold in America. That is a 240sx, not a Silvia.

Crap pile. its got like 2 inches of wheel gap and the exhaust is like .5 inch off the ground. also cool diy sheet metal sideskirts or whatever

id run that motor though. without the summit intake

Exhaust clearance sucks. . the fact thats its running a dry sump and spec'd to pretty much a full drag only setup makes me think it wont see too many speed bumps!!

Sweet idea, poor execution. nice motor though... motor belongs in a z31, hooray

seen on the other boards...kinda cool cause I havn't seen something like it yet, but I wouldn't want it.

I don't care about speed bumps. If the exhaust was done better, it would show more attention to detail. The unpainted "Cherry Bomb", black piping, and basic turn down pipe mated together looks like complete crap to me.

Last week, when someone posted this in premium members, I thought that was the unmounted driveshaft hanging under the car, only now do I look again and see that is the EXHAUST

IMO, the pictures are very artfully done.. I like what he did with the background as a warehouse. But it really says "Im a Machine. Drive me." Very rough, and industrial looking. The paintjob I cant complain about because, "sniffle" my car is only primer right now... A silvia front end can do that to you.

All in all, I'd drive the hell out of it. Gotta love V8 power.

huh. Well, its an aircraft hanger...

I would tub the rears, and throw some huge ass slicks on the rears, and use this as a drag car ONLY.

thanks for all the replys, its a buddy of mine on http://www.dallasimports.net
here is a direct quote from what he said
"The car is agressive, bold, and unlike any 240 ever to come before. With any good design you either love it or hate it. So I expected to get the hate mail (infact I was sweating bullets the day I decided to order that silly scoop). Some of the hate mail is funny, some of it's pretty mean but for every hater there have been 20 people who absolutely love the car...

Second I think some people don't understand that this is a project car, I will be the first to admit it's not everything I wanted it to be. It needs bigger brakes, better suspension, I wanted fender flares and custom wheels, I wanted to put a nice paint job on it, I wanted to use the side skirts to mount a flat underbody tray to (you can't to that with fiberglass) and build a rear diffuser. But some things were backordered (fender flares), some things take a month to make (wheels), and a lot of things wouldn't be wise for me to do since I was never really planning on keeping the car. Why in the hell would I spend a week making a oval exhaust system if the first thing a drag racer is going to do is take it off. Why would I spend $1000 on coilovers if a track junky is going to have to take them off for something with higher spring rates? Why would I spend $1000 on paint if someones just going to have it repainted a different color. If I did everything I wanted to I would have to sell it for a rediculous price like this guy (http://houston.craigslist.org/car/364084457.html). As it is, it's cheap enough someone's probobly going to buy it on ebay for less than the price of a 240+hinsonkit+engine and I'll make enough on it to pay my shop rent and start the next project.."

yes were located in the dfw.. thanks again for all the replys, comments, etc etc..

The owner's got a point there. I guess.
If he did not intend on keeping the car, there's no point in creating the perfect build. He swapped the engine in, got the bragging rights for it. Might as well get rid of it and start another exciting project.

Flat Black FTW!

350 = Ls1.. just with a carb. Something different.. thats all I can say, considering I was thinking about putting a 350 into my s14 at one time.

Oh and who the hell has a dry sump just LAYING around?! cmon now.. I find that semi hard to believe
