i've gone through two dashes in the same 240.... my m30 has a dash crack that looks like the grand canyon, too.

The dash that came with my car was cracked. I replaced it. I have a non-cracked HUD equipped dash waiting in my garage for MrMeph to come pick it up.

Coverlay makes a dashcap for s13 now and they look pretty good.

I just put a clean dash in my car a couple of weeks ago. It now has a nice crack on it above the gauge cluster. :bite:

Don't use products that contain petrolium distillates or silicon oils to clean your interior.

This causes your dash/interior to dry up and then crack.

Both are found in most Armorall products, but I believe they have a new type of wipe without it.

I spend more money on detailing products than gas.

You can find those covers on NICO, but they are cut half way down the side where the doors meet the dash, and the front near the middle of the center console.

They're ok, but I'd rather have a nice smooth oem dash... now just gotta figure out how to keep em from cracking.

Lmfao this thread is good for nothing besides venting some steam over these damned dashes!

I have 2 dashes. The one in my car right now has 6 GOOD sized cracks going from back to front. I tried to fill them with bondo (what the hell was I thinking? Bondo? Me? Wtf...) And it didn't work. I could have told myself that. The other dash i got out of a 91 parts car. It was 1 crack right above the instrument panal. Pisses me off too... I'd post pics up, but im not technologically inclined enough to know how to.

I guess they make a vinyl sheet that you can glue on and mold to the dash, kind of what the door panals are covered with, but i cant find it anywhere. I guess I'll stick with the ol' Dash Mate lol.

Who cares about the dash though? Those cracks add personality!
That arguement works better with rust under the wheelwells of trucks i think.
