i had trouble lining up the bolts holes in my buddyclub seat as well, i put the rear 2 bolts on the lowest slot and only the top front bolt on the lowest slot.

you don't gain any head space when when you use the bottom most holes front and rear
u gain head space with a "tilt":
use the bottom most hole in the back, use the middle hole in the front
this will cause the seat to lean back a bit, which is how u get more clearance
i had the same seat/rail in my s14, picked up a couple inches
as for why the holes don't line up...not sure, i didn't have any problems getting all the bolts in
can u not get athe bolts in at all, or what? don't tighten all the bolts when u put them in, screw them in until they hold, but leave some "play" in them so u can adjust a few mm for other holes

Yea i did that and had all the bolts loose. The seat was closer to the steering wheel and being so tall defeats the purpose of even buying a seat and low brackets. I dont want my knees closer to the wheel so i am not going to lift the front of the seat up simply because at the lowest point when i turn the wheel my hands hit my knees.
should i just sell it? what will fit or do i just hafta get an s14?

so you did the tilt and still didn't gain enough room?
time for new car...get an EVO
