I'm going to wire my stri water temp gauge into my ignition, and I needed help making sure these wires were the correct wires for me to tap into the ignition. I have a 93 240sx...

STRI gauge
Red --- 12 Volt Ignition on
Black --- Ground
Yellow --- Illumination
Green --- signal wire
wire w/crimped connector - for sensor

Ignition
WHITE/RED
-------
BLUE
-------
-------

What about the black wire for my guage, which wire do i tap that into? As for the green, do I connect that to the extra wire for my sensor?

I found the ignition colors from the BLITZ FATT thread on here, and I wanted to make sure these ignition colors would work with the wires I've paired them up with above... I'm reallllllllllllllly new to electrical wiring.

Where are you connecting the gauge? The ignition wire differs in color in various places.

Illumination is red/blue, found behind any switch, radio, or the cluster.

i was thinking about wiring the gauge into the wires behind the key cylinder, or even behind the radio, as long as i can connect all the wires to either one.
