Alright guys I have sealed my hatch with silicon sealant about 5 times now. When it rains as hard as it does in florida the water seems to be coming in on the lower sides of the hatch. Both sides left and right directly before it slopes down parallel with the tail lights. If anyone knows something good to use to seal this shit let me know cause I had a half gallon of water in my trunk.

make sure it's not leaking in from around the tops of your tail lights. same thing happened to me when I went to go paint my car and some of the black sealant didnt cover the topside of the lights.

I am pretty sure its not coming in through the tails because my carpet isn't wet right below the tails.

I am pretty sure it is because I have never taken it off. But it did start happening after the paint job so maybe that painter took it off and put it back wrong. I doubt this however cause I got ripped with a shitty paint job and he most likely didn't take anyhing off and just sprayed paint everywhere. I think i'll buy 5 tubes of RTV and paint the whole hatch well.

dude it's the lights remove tail lights clean area and replace with new 3m Butyl tape use the one thats about as thick as your pinky
make sure you do it on a warm day or you have a heat gun so you
can make it nice and gooey before you mush it back in
