i believe that i read somewhere that to put a jdm cluster in after a sr swap you need to use the jdm harness behind the cluster too. that the american harness plugs in, but does not work properly, is this correct because i cant find the thread that i read that in.
another thing, i had tried to find the tach signal for an aftermarket tach from my ecu. and i read that if i had hooked up a tack to my tach signal wire i probobly blew the little tach circuit thing in the ecu? if i did then the tach woulnt work on the cluster anyway. im not sure if i blew it but if i did is there anyway to get the circuit fixed or do you have to get a new ecu?
thanks in advance

You read wrong, the harness is the same.

when i hook the jdm cluser up the gas gauge doesnt work neither does the tach,
when i hook the us cluster up the gas gauge works.......
no tachometer either way?
or maybe its because the silinoid thing for the tach in the ecu popped?
any ideas?

Yes, and it's used.
Why do you want a JDM cluster anyway? If you have to have it, swap your working gas gauge into it. Done.

still no reply on my ecu question
the harness is the same. The only difference with the harness is if you have a HUD cluster, the harness is different for that...
Jdm cluster should drop right in with no problems. I did it...
ecu shouldn't have any problems, tach problem is either both tachs are fucked, you wired the SR ecu incorrectly or you have another connection problem...
saying solenoid as a "silinoid thing" makes you sound like you dont know much. Maybe you should let someone knowledgeable do the wiring?
