I have a 5 Speed S13 Redtop in my 89 S13 and I want to get my reverse lights working, but my reverse switch just has the black wire hanging out like in the pic. I searched and I know that there's a green and a black wire from the harness that's supposed to be connected to the switch. But how am I supposed to connect it when there's only a black wire coming out of the switch? Is there supposed to be another wire coming out of the switch? Or do I need to get a new plug.

he is pretty much saying that there should be another piece of metal to complete teh circuit, if not, solder in a piece of metal to the broken piece or where the broken piece was and finish it from there.

Just replace the switch, way easier. Just be quick about it so you don't get covered in gear oil.

^^ Yeah, you probably won't have much of a contact to work with anyway. They're not expensive.

s13 and s14 use the same switches, just pull one off a junkyard somewhere

Clean the connections and wrap the ends of a wire around each little metal barb/strap (there will be two) then solder them. Then do a search on reverse light wiring if you don't know where to wire the switch to..

Thanks for the help guys! I think I'm gonna go ahead get a new switch. That's probably the easiest route. I pm'd WestCo Justin and he can get it for $21.24 special ordered.
