I apologize now if this is in the wrong section.
Im hoping someone can point me in the right direction of a company(or shop) that can make me a custom designed set of rims. I remember seeing a topic on this a while ago, but "search" didnt find me anything. I appreciate any help you guys can give me. Im located in the EASTBAY CA. so the closer the better. I see this done on DISCOVERYchannel so I know it can be done but the places they show dont offer any info on the process.

go design any rim, draw it whatever, take it to a company that makes wheels (american racing, rota, enkei, etc...) and pay them to make a mold and make the rims.

There are a lot of companies that can make wheels "one off" but look to pay a lot of money for something like that. MHT, American Racing are on Discovery a lot and make "special" wheels for TV cars, but they do it for the advertising. I know that your could spend well more then it would cost for a set of imported works and volks together.
Also, if anyone did make a custom set of wheels, there would be no mold made, it would be a CNC / forged wheel.

Seriously dude what your asking for costs alot of money depending on what type of wheels your looking at to custom make.Whether it's forged, cast, two piece, or three piece.
I would suggest that you just look for any of the thousands of wheels selections and pick a set of those and be done with it.
Seem like spending that much money just to say that you have a custom wheel is sorta lame. But to each's own I guess.

I've never heard anything bad about CCW other than that they are derivate CNC face wheels with boring designs. I'd rock them if I got a good deal on them for sure.
HREs, on the other hand fucking SUCK.
They're heavy, and I've heard from quite a few people that they've been known to break on heavy track cars.
I seem to recall reading that a smaller racing organization specifically outlaws them due to having several breakage incidents, but I can't recall where I read it, so I guess it's not proven fact.
Plus they're tacky, more money doesn't always mean better.

This is it, lol, you get more quality from foreign parts these days.
My Boss has a Harley, made in American, all that BS
like 5 year old bike, 2600 miles, she doesn't ride much, starts it up everyone in a while to keep the fluids circulating every once in a while, etc.
Nothing but problems, bike needs a new trans and 2 new headgaskets atm.
American quality my ass.

to the OP, go find some wheels you like and buy them, if you have that much money to blow get some Deep Racing wheels or some customer Works or Volks or something.
but I don't think you do, so it's a mute point anyway.

WHeels do not have to be custom cnc. If this guy wants to start a wheel company like rota, there is a mold and it would be cheaper to mass produce.
