Well I finally got my new turbine housing so I went about putting it on. I had also gotten a new compressor o-ring. I put the turbo together as usual, clocked it right, put the new stainless steel lines on it. Lastly I put the compressor side in, which, I think, is where I made my mistake. It put the o-ring over the center section (little plate thing with the groove for the o-ring) and then put the compressor side on (I didn't know I had to lube the o-ring) and tq'ed it down. It looked funny to me, the compressor housing was not sealing flush with the center section dish thingy. I thought, I think the o-ring just needs time to flatten and put it all back together and put it in the car. Now when the car starts making load, there is this super high pitched sound like the turbo spinning into oblivion, this is much louder than a traditional boost leak. When I let off, it sounds like a horse neighing, very loud, high pitched, compressor surge. Can someone point me in the right direction?
