hey guys


i just bought a 95' 240sx.Now,the only problem with it is that you have to put the key in ignition for about 5 seconds,then start the car.its like when its in ignition,the battery has to charge.i replaced the battery,but still same problem.if i take longer than 5 seconds,it wont start.it sounds liek itstrying to turn,but it cant.any ideas?stock ka motor

Check the spark plugs sounds like no spark if it's cranking over.

if the car turns over normally time and time again, it's not your battery. It could be your plugs/wires, but if the car runs normally otherwise that's not too likely. Plugs are cheap though, so that'd be a great place to start.

its not turning over.its like the sound when you do have a bad battery.but GSXRJJordan,when the car starts,it runs fine,so i dont think its the plugs

I think its a security feature possibly, check you ignition harness and see if its been spliced. If its 5 secs everytime and anything more causes a no start it doesnt sound intermitent sounds like something is preventing startup if those conditions arent met.
