starter has 2 different size bolts

toasted last starter, found another one, new starter will only accept 1 of 2 bolts *2nd one is bigger*

This is for a late model s13 redtop.......wtf

I thought it was only the first two and the third at the very bottom wasnt needed nor did it align

The starter is held to the tranny with two bolts, yes they are different lengths. I don't remember if they're different diameters, but you can tell which one's which by the length (I believe the short one is on the bottom).

If you're talking electrically, the positive and negative terminals on the starter also have different size bolts... as always, pics really help here.

I meant in diameter. only one bolt will thread to the starter. The 2nd bigger one does not fit.
