So I'm in my s14 driving down DeSoto on my way to the gym, and my front driver side Watanabe decides to crack. So now I have 3 gold watanabes and 1 red mesh great huh? So anyone know if I can POSSIBLY fix that one Watanabe?

How did it crack, where did it crack, why did it crack, what happened when it cracked...
Be more specific in explanation and you may get more than a half assed answer(which is equivalent to your first post)

I dont know how it cracked, it is old. It cracked on the spokes, and what happened when it cracked it started making an annoying high pitched noise.

Hit up a reputable rim shop, take them to the wheel to them and see what they say, rather then taking to dudes you don't even know on the internet.

Although his grammer/spelling was bad, i agree. I AM NOT AN EXPERT but i personally believe that a rim with cracked spokes is trash. That means two things to me..
1. The rim was made from a bad batch of metal
2. The rim has seen excessive abbuse/impacts
If there were a crack in the lip i may think otherwise... JMO

The rim was repainted before I bought it, what I'm thinking is that they put it in the blast furnace and it weakened the material. From what I hear the material they used for the RS-8 Watanabe was really light so probably the heat weakened it? But I'm currently looking for just one 16' rim. OR sell them.

Hey guys. The rims spokes are kinda repairable, but not safe to drive on. Therefore I wouldn't recommend repairing something like that by just re-welding it. Now if it was the lips that was cracked or chipped then that's fine, but the spokes and the way its designed it just not safe to do so.
Just my opinion and also my uncle's who spend ten years in the wheel manufacturing industry.
