By the looks of this article looks like swaps in CT will be exempt from emissions test.

Hopefully this will start a tren :hsdance:

... I never knew I was driving a "composite vehicle"

googling i found a 2mb .pdf on CT's laws on composite vehicles.. quick skim tells me there seems to be a loop hole.

OBDI is safety only here...

LIVE FREE OR DIE MOTHERFUCKERS

Like Farzam said, NC is safety/visual emissions only if you're 95 or older, but they are still supposed to check for evap, egr, and cat.
They just don't plug the OBD machine into your car, in the year I was an inspection tech here, I never once did more than make sure that steering, brakes, lights, and VIN were right, and slap on a sticker.

I know a guy who ran his '92 VW through our inspection with an unmuffled 3" side pipe and unfiltered velocity stacks on Webers, most people really don't give a damn.

What?
Farzam, I THINK you're in Wake (or maybe Durham, depending on where in Raleigh you are), what does it matter to you, when you're OBD1 and older than 10 years here?
