1) is there an american " V-belt" equivalent to the "v-belt" on my 1998 kouki sr20? if not thats fine, ill order one online but i just wanted to check before i ordered one

2) my spark plugs are showing that im running lean, i just dropped a 98 kouki sr motor into my 89 240 chasis, i upgraded to the walboro 255 and it whines like crazy back there. kinda like it wines louder than it should..... so i know that its working. but the plugs have white tips with black rings below it ( i guess that means im buring oil ). what should i do?

3) when i take a 20 minute drive and pop my hood my koyo radiator is hot as shit. is it supposed to get that hot? my temp gauge doesnt read that its overheating its just weird to me that its so hot. and the heat sometimes transferres to the intercooler piping. any ideas

any ideas on any of the above subjects would help me out guys
thanks for the time, i will return the favor if i have any information for your questions

I can say dont really trust the stock temp gauge in the gauge cluster, get something more accurate like a aftermarket gauge which is what i want. But as long as your not over heating and spewing coolant out you should be fine.

There prolly is an american v belt equivelant but i wouldnt know who makes it.

Do you have an aftermarket FPR? You sure you installed the fuel pump right? Try checking your fuel pressure.

Walbros are known to be noisy. Mine is upon priming. Its probably not a problem.

Get an accurate temperature guage and check back when you have real temperatures. 'Hot as shit' doesnt tell us much; a radiator will always be too hot to touch after any 20 minute drive.

ill check my fpr and my fuel pump tommorrow. the only reason i thought it was extra loud is because a friend of mine is running the same fuel pump for his sr20 and mine is way louder.....i ordered the 1/8 adapter to hook up the temperature sensor into the top radiator hose but havent got it in yet.... the main thing that im worrying about is running lean, i dont want to mess anything up

you DO understand the purpose of a radiator, correct?

its designed to take the HEAT from the motor and dissipate it into the air.

ever been to a place called school? remember when they had those things, what were they called... oh yeah, wall heaters. they're used in europe too, and basically consist of a cast iron radiator with steam that runs through it. they're designed to get HOT, dude.

Put new plugs in, and then run the car hard and tell us what they look like. I wouldnt even dare try reading old ass plugs.. lol about the radiator.

Have somoen drive behind you in WOT, if they dont see smoke, and your not losing oil, your probably fine.. Get somone with a wideband to check your afrs, until then you don't know if your running lean or not.. So far it seems you have no problems, I wouldn't worry at all.

You should invest in a radiator spray kit :D JK

Did you replace your fuel filter? this is some thing that gets over passed when diagnosing fuel problems!

Yeah, SR sentra if I'm not mistaken. Measure the belt and the number of grooves. Competent stores will be able to sell you belts with just that info.

Get good quality plugs. Phase sells them. Z32 fuel filter. Make sure O2 is working properly.

thanks guys, this helped alot, i will be replacing my fuel filter today,

another thing when i was going over my fuel system today i noticed that the metal fuel line under the hood had a slight kink in it, not completely kinked but you can tell it has been bent, so i figure that thats probobly it...... would anyone happen to know where to get metal fuel line for s14 sr20?

no problem, glad i could help.

i mean, we all know that my main mission in life.. is increasing my post count. all i care about is posts baby (like chappelle says, "all i care about is points man")

its all good though, next time you're sitting in front of your car.. you'll know that your radiator should be HOT. not warm........ but fucking HOT. afterall, it should be pretty apparent that i love pointing out the obvious.. especially when pretty much EVERY radiator cap has a warning label on it. ;)
