First and foremost, this a noob question and yes i have searched.
On the front coilovers, the lower part of the coilover, that attaches to the brake assembly, is tightened by something. Are they allen bolts? And, must they be loosed in order to adjust the coilover?

Ugh.
Don't buy coilovers if your knowledge is this fucking deficient.
And stop trying to tinker with your car if your ability to do research is nonexistant.
Nevertheless I will point you in the right direction, if you can't figure it out from here you should take up collecting stamps.

It's very simple. You loosen the top collars to either droop the spring, or the bottom collar to turn the shock body and decrease the shock length. I mean if you can't figure it out by staring at them for like 30 seconds, just kill yourself.
