Quick question, will 30mm calipers work with the 26mm rotors? Intuition says "don't do it" but it seems like it would fit physically. I have 26mm calipers on my car but when I got the rebuilt stuff from Kragen, I ended up with 30mm ones, they are aluminum though. Any thoughts?

Intuition should say "search", but i will tell you to get the right parts for the right caliper.
26 = 26
30 = 30
done.

rotors aren't that expensive
just get the right shit to begin with instead of trying to make something fit

you can get 30mm rotor to fit a 26mm caliper
you need to shave off 4mm while resurfacing it, haha

We'll I agree that you should buy the correct rotor for the caliper....
So the 26 mm rotor is 4mm thinner but 2mm thinner per side assuming its thinner equally on both sides (which I assume but don't know). Which is like ~.075" that the pistons on each side will have to expand to meet the thinner rotor. The pads you run will wear more than that from new till their worn out. How thick is a brake pad ~3/8" or like 9.5 mm. Don't run the pad all the way down.
There are several companies that sell the same pads for an EVO and an STi even though the STi rotor is 2mm thinner. Not the same thing but kind of.
I think you'll be fine but you better damn well check it if you decide to run them.
