i want my car to hug the curve like your mom huged me while i was making sweet love to her last night (just to spice things up, no offense) i'm thinking about getting obx front and rear strut bars, whiteline front n back swaybars, groundcontrol racing springs and running 17x8 tires. is this a wise setup for my s13? will the 8" tire width fit my car? and for the swaybars, how do i adjust 'em so it don't swing easily? yet, w/ almost no body roll. or is that an impossible combo?

you forgot about shocks.... and I'm not sure of the GC springrates... but the whiteline bars and any STB's (assuming the OBX ones actually work) you should corner pretty #### well.

obx = RICE!

ok other than the obx stuff it sounds good. I dunno bout the wheel sizes tho?

any strut bar suggestion? i'm going obx 'cause it's cheap as ####, i'd assume bad quality, but it's just a lil add-on to the sways

240meowth, you'll see instantly how to adjust the sways...theres only 3 settings on the front one...tight, tighter, and really frickin tight and two settings for the rear. As far as OBX stb's go why wouldn't they work? Ace, gsr, why don't you guys like OBX stb's? Isn't that what PDM sells? Mine works quite well I though (even though the threads were backwards...turn it right to make it lose, left to make it tight heh only on one side though the other side was normal right tight left lose)

GC uses Eibach race springs if that helps at all, and yes you will definitely need shocks, go with Koni or tokico

OBX-schmoeBX, all friggin' strut bars work the same. The only things that matter with strut bars are the shape, the way they install, construction, and how thick the bars are. C'mon, it's not like the strut tower bars are direct replacements to existing parts. They're just "additional" parts. They all do one thing, reduce chassis flex. If for some reason, the cheap strut bar is the problem with your suspension, I think you've got more to worry about than a strut bar.

Now, if you were to get an OBX intake or exhaust, then you'd be worried about brands.

you can use them, but they will wear out quickly

They're supposed to be like that so you can tighten the fit by just twisting the bar....take a look at it; you'll see what I'm talking about.

Your 8" Tire will be fine.

OBX is fine as long as its a strut bar. A strut bar is a strut bar IMO. But I still bought Cusco and JIC bars for the #### of it.

You will need shox, I would suggest some KYB AGX since they are adjustable 4 ways in front and 8 way in the rear. They dont cost to much for what you get either.

How do you want your ride to be? Stiff? Soft? You can specify what spring rates you want from Ground Control (Good choice in springs)

The Sway bars are adjustable by moving where they bolt to on the car, its kinda hard so set it right the first time. I set mine to super stiff on both F&R.

i'm looking for some stiff ride, but still streetable, how much are they kyb adjustables? and what kinda spinrg rate should i get? i have no idea what the spring rates mean... can't i just order the on efor 240sx from ground control?

Anyone heard of Suspension Technics? are they shitty?

Yea.. I guess they are because that what people have told me plus on 240sx.org they said the ST bars didn't fit too well... what aftermarket shit does though? Do the WhiteLines fit good?

Jeff

i think the main reason people bitch about the ST is because for relatively the same price you can have adjustable whitelines that can be made somewhat stiffer than ST bars

My analysis if anyone cars;
ST is for street and occasional track use
Whiteline is for serious tuning

Does ST stand for suspension Technics?

if you are running a 17X8 wheel, what tire size are you running? 215/45 or 235/40
