Yes. I have searched.
Yes. I have done my research.

Just a quick question. I have 30mm iron calipers as identified by http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm.
I went to the nissan dealer to get the hardware for the front calipers (pins, clips, and spring clips) and gave them part numbers for the 30mm caliper hardware via http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/brakesz32.html

After test fitting the pins, however, it seems they may be the wrong part? (see picture below...)

Is that gap supposed to be there? I would assume the pins should sit flush against the caliper. Is the 26mm pin off of pdm the one i am supposed to use?

Thanks in advance for your help on a simple question.

i've never compared the iron and aluminum calipers, but iron is stronger and generally thinner so maybe the later hardware is different. just go to the dealer and ask for pins from a '95 300zx. they can look up the part numbers and sell them to you.

there's a slight chance that nissan just used the same part for the 26mm and iron calipers. if that's the case, and you need to return them to PDM, have the dealer cross reference the part numbers for the '95 and '90 NA parts first.

You might have 26mm calipers.

The pins are the same length on every caliper I've ever seen, and most hang out a little. You're fine. There's no pressure on the pins, nor do they move around much, they simply hang the pads against the rotor.

You might have 26mm calipers.

I'm positive this isnt the case because i've tested them with a magnet AND measured the width where the rotor sits. 1 3/8 in. which is the spec for the 30mm calipers.

I'll just check the part number with the dealer. Should've done that anyways...
