I have been building this engine for the wife's car and she has since decided that the SR engine is cute and wants one of those instead. So per her request the build has stopped and looking to move in a differ direction. RB20det was a strong running motor and rebuild/ teardown was to bring it back as a RB24det.
I have added the following parts already:
BNCR33 crank and rods
N1 oil pump
N1 water pump
HKS cast exhaust manifold and TO4E turbine w/ HKS external wastegate.
Needed to complete the build:
CP pistons
83mm headgasket from JYG
Bearings, seals and gaskets
Timing belt
ARP fasteners
Larger cams and injectors would take full advantage of the bottom end as well. What needs to be added is nothing more that good preventive maintenance during a motor swap so no real extra cost. (except pistons). I do have the wiring harness and computer. I will be keeping my motor mounts as well. I am located north of L.A and willing to deliver or pick engines the first week of JULY. Willing to throw down some cash with the trade towards a stock running SR20det. Also willing to sell engine without a trade. Pics at http://album.hybridz.org/showp...=9707

RB24det is a hybrid RB engine. RB20det block and head. RB26 crank and rods. Custom CP pistons at 81mm puts you pretty close to a 2.4. Could also use AE92 supercharger pistons. With a TO4E turbine 252 intake cam and 264 exhaust with some killer injectors 500ps is possible. There was a build in an old option magazine that I saw, and thought I would give it a shot. Tomei makes the same bore/stroke kit for around $2000.00. I planned on taking this engine back to Japan so the 2.0 liter block was necessary for road tax reasons.

91240sxgtr, If you are still serious about putting funds together than cool. I can wait. Need to focus on some other areas of the car to get it ready for road conditions. Saw your plenum and thought it would be great if no one bought my motor the plenum would definitely look better. I tried looking thru the vbpic gallery and couldn't find anything. Can you send me a link? thanks
