The U bracket broke on my clutch. It is connected to the rod that pushes the clutch master cylinder
It looks like this:

Part #30631 in tha picture
I ordered a new one.
Is there any way of reinforcing that, because it's pretty dangerous when it breaks, you can't do anything b/c you can't activate your clutch. Also, there is no real "wear and tear" on when it breaks, unlike other stuff. You could be driving down the street, it could break, you could be driving on the track, it could break
Any way to reinforce it would be appreciated
Thanks.

The part that pins into the clutch pedal? How in the fuck did you break that shit?
You shoulda been able to tell if that part was gonna go out on you.
Maybe mash it a little less forcefully.

Not the pin itself, but the "U shaped" bracket that connects to the clutch pedal
I don't mash hard at all, my car is my daily driver and I don't drive stupid. Another friend of mine has had the same thing happen to him also, exact same peice. Except he was doing work on his car at the time, so he noticed it before driving, and he replaced the clutch master cylinder.
It's not exactly the strongest thing, cuz it's just a peice of metal that has been folded.

I was planning to replace both.
How many miles did you have on your clutch cylinder when it broke? (Approx)
!Zar!: Jbweld, can I purchase that anywhere? (Kragen's, Autozone, Pepboys) Has this happened to you also?
Thanks for the info and advice, much appreciated.

JB weld can be purchased at the places you listed.
It hasn't happened to me, but if/when? I'd probably end up making one or doing what I suggested.
Actually. Fuck that. I'd just toss a new one and do shit. haha. Chances of it happening again are slim.
