they're out here in riverside area.
ive heard from a few people that have dealt with them as far as parts go and they havent really had anything negative to say, as far as motors and things of that sort I cant really say, never been there personally.

overpriced... and the cheap ones they have are garbage. I would just stick to the forums and craigslist till you find a good deal.

I haven't heard of them.
But being in cali you have so may reputable shops you can go though with no hassle.
I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

yeah...if you want to buy a car...look somewhere else. i've stopped there before and their cars a dealer priced. they wanted like 5 grand for a fastback with a sil front..and stock motor, but it was painted orange..lol. but yeah cars are expensive. you could find a lot better cars for that price range. and they are in riverside, but i'm not sure where. they've moved like 3 times in 3 years. stick with autotrader, and of course the for sale section here. dont rush it. just wait and keep looking. a lot of people on here can tell you that they looked for a long time before picking up a car.
definetly not gonna waste my time checking them out. mahalo for the info guys.
my cousin lives out there and he deals in cars (he's actually looking around for a supra or R34-yeah, he's that kind of nuts). i'm gonna ask him if he ever checks it out and possibly report back on it

Newspaper classifieds and craigslist for cheap cars. Old lady 240's ftw.
Honestly, if i was a normal person looking for a daily driver, why the hell would i want a 240sx?

yeah sad to say i did buy my car from them but that was like 4 yrs ago. the only bad thing i have to say about them is that it took about a whole year to get my registration from them. i had to keep going back to them to get a "temporary" every month. other than that ive bought parts from them and havent had any problems at all.

I bought a car from them about two years ago. The car was overpriced, and it took a really long time for it to get done. Like 2 months for a paint job. And the pain wasnt even that good, and it WAS overpriced. They are a little shady, as they said the car was never in an accident, only to later find that a lot of the rear panneling was bondoed.
The owner is a cool guy, but that shop is like a shop for newbs to buy decent looking cars, if they have the money. I wouldn't buy from them again though.

Proto is probably the worst place to go.. yeah they advertise low prices but you better believe the gauge cluster is gone or something like that... they will take you to a yard where the car is and say its in good shape when really its all sorts of jacked up... the owner was a pretty nice guy but still... horrible place... craigslist or autotrader is your best bet

Take 1 stock 89 240SX with 200k miles on a dieing motor and a fucked up/half missing interior for $1500.
Add 1 Vertex copy body kit and ok paintjob.
Add 1 set of 18" Sportmax 962s on stock ride height.
Reduce heat to a simmer whilst continuing to stir. Charge $5000 to some noob for car.
Sauce will thicken upon standing. Serves 4.

I would avoid PROTO, overpriced junk in my opinion. Just buy a shell and get everything done the way you want. This way you know what and how everything is being done. Nothing is worse than thinking you bought a good car and then having to spend more money redoing mods that you already paid for when you initially bought the car.

I think that is a general consensus of the type of shop they are. I am gonna close this soon, so any last minute opinions... you have a few more hours.
just wanted to make sure if i took that long ass drive down there to buy a couple STOCK 240s i wouldn't get false cracked by bs, salvaged, fingerbanged cars... lemons.
by da way, where i come from we go by BUILT NOT BOUGHT. definetly wasn't gonna get butt raped for halfass work i could do just as halfassed for free.

What type of 240 are you looking for exactly, I have a 14 available, white, very clean, HKS wheels, and SR intercooled; 14 not 13 SR.
and how much are you interested in spending, and when it comes to this "built not Bought" Idea, how far along would you be interested in? otherwise, just stick to the classifieds, cause all we know are performance cars, looking for a good condition 240 here is like looking for a diamond & keeping your hand in africa, they're HIGHLY scarce w/o tight strings around em.
Best regards tho; welcome to the Drest Coast, lol. Best, may I add.

lol. Rape, its the best deal for any average nissan 240sx chassis between 89-94 ( the tire tearer years) you'll probably find on any given sunny day in this great city of ours, just imagine if this were 626 area. no offense, but heading toward torrance or better LA; pricing isn't getting any more convenient, they try to earn an earnest buck just like the companies that go through all this shit to get us the hard to touch parts for crybaby negotiated prices, I admit, I look for a hook-up myself, due to the ever rising raise in my paycheck! periods I look forward to every Green Moon!
SO, considering this company is actually trying to give the "average" Drift enthusiast something to work with aesthetically, and every now & again mechanically, yeah, quality isn't top notch on the performance/ retail auto market ?!?!, but I think alot would be crying & shitting at the same time if most of the parts "aesthetically" came off the Original designers shelves? I am a close friend of the manager, and all respect due to him, he does what he can with whats provided, as well as the head mechanic, hes one of thEE few I would recommend standard issued ASE tech work to any nissan pulling up with a blown turbine gasket, or to install a oil cooler. .. .if Im not around, lol.
I've had my ups & downs with them, but business is business.
and you're debating about a business.
am I lying?
i am looking for completely STOCK s13's. no mods, repaints, fingerbang wiring, etc.
keep saying that but people still are offering me modded cars?.
anyways, thought being in cali 240's would be cheaper but it's the complete opposite, theres more selection but prices are way higher than the 808state. my $0.02. the end....

Masa it is going to be nearly impossible to find an unmodded 240sx on forums and shops.. to be honest, like said before.... only in stuff like the autotrader.com and cars.com maybe even craigslist.com

I sell stock chassis unmodded cars, beyond being 5 speed converted which most people do not mind and want. Considering I wrote the faq here on the 5 speed swap. I am known for clean chassis's as well. I will even sell you an automatic if you don't care. In fact, I have a 93 Auto super hicas car right now with 98k, yes 98k on it. I picked it up from the original owners as well. Clean uncracked dash good interior. Give me $2500 and its yours.
