What's up everyone? I work at a Toyota dealership in the parts department and figured I might be able to help some Nissan guys out.

Japanese parts have Japanese Industrials Standards.. What that means for us 240 guys is that you can get nuts/bolts/studs from any jap dealership. Toyota is one of the biggest companies servicing tons of vehicles.. What that equates to is if you need studs/nuts/bolts ASAP Toyota more than likely stocks them.. If the dealership doesn't stock the part, it/they can be ordered for the next day as long as the order is placed before 3PM usually at most dealerships. Nissan/Mitsubishi etc. with their lower volume sales = less repairs, do not usually stock as many parts as a Toyota dealership...

If you guys can not get nuts/bolts/studs from your local Nissan dealer and need them ASAP.. PM me with the size/pitch/length etc. of the nuts/bolts/studs you may need, and I in turn will get you a Toyota part number. I'm not asking for anything in return. I understand how frustrating shit can get when you need harware to finish up a project, and no one stocks it locally. Or you want to reuse the old hardware.. and otherwise don't have much of a choice..

I'm sure many of you saw the post I made a while back about Toyota part numbers for exhaust manifold studs and nuts.. I was able to help a bunch of 240 guys out before, and I am looking to do the same here. If you would like a Toyota part number for your Nissan shit, shoot me a line. I'm on here daily 5PM-9PM conveniantly in the Parts Department if anyone needs anything. So, with that said.. Hit me up if you need anything.

I heard you can use Tacoma oil filters on SRs, cant remember which year/engine it was off. Only reason I bring that up is because OEM Toyota Oil filters are like half of what Nissan charges for them. There is no better oil filter out there for the price than a stock OE filter!!!

actually. just the thread I was looking for. I need a few bolts that are 12x1.25 - according to the local parts store it needs to be "grade 8" (I'm not sure what that means - strength of the bolt or something?) - and I will get you the length shortly. I will send you a PM when I have the info.

grade 8 is a american term for the strength of the bolt. in metric its 10.8 for the same as grade 8 in america
grade 5= 8.8 in metric

the rear shock (s13/s14) perch nuts for the shocks/coilovers (oem) suck in terms of torque over hex. Ive stripped several cus im just so fucking ripped.

I need to find something better for this, but the nut needed to be flanged.

Steve.. M10x1.25 right? Text me tomarrow. Ill text you the part number, or if you want, get me the quantity you need, I'll get you the nuts at cost and send them out to you if you reimburse me for the nuts. Shippings on me. The mechanics here are air wrench happy on the shocks.. our nuts withstand the abuse :P lol.

I know the toyota filter that i use on my 98 corolla fit on my sr20det. Its the same filter that toyota uses on a lot of their mid size cars. But toyota filters are not half of the price of a nissan filter. They are about the same price. Toyota filters are just superior to a lot of the filters out there from the tests that have been done.

And by word of mouth, I have heard that some of nissan's filters are made by fram. I doubt the sr20 ones are because it says made in japan on them.

By exhaust manifold studs.. do you mean the ones on the block, or the 4 that attach to the turbo? Im using the Toyota studs/nuts everywhere on my exhaust.. No signs of wear after repeated use.

Turbo 5 bolt outlet nuts- My dealership stocks several types alone. This part number here is pinched on the ends so you never have to retighten the nuts again. These have held up great for me. Used MR2 and Supra turbo exhaust hardware, silver-gray in color to resist corrosion and heat.

90179-08059

Exhaust manifold studs

90116-10017

90116-10149 - Keyed end, requires Torx bit.

Nuts for the exhaust manifold - Once again.. Pinched ends. Torque it down once and forget it... Stainless nuts.

90080-17187

All of the Toyota hardware is fucken banging. Fits great and stands up to abuse. This is a company that stands behind their products.. hope this helps someone.

Whatever Toyota filter may or may not work, I wouldn't know, as the ones my friend George and I have tried on our S14 SRs do not work. However.. On the S13 SR, I'll believe it. There are part numbers...

90915-YZZF2 = Short Filter
90915-YZZF1 = Longer filter

Ill bring in an S13 SR filter and give this a shot.. Does anyone have a spare Union??

Is anyone interested in using Toyota wiper blades? They are inexpensive, and

inserts are dirt cheap as well.

do you have the bull eye gaskets for banjo bolt/fittings?
Gaskets are used for oil/water lines running to the turbo.

toyota hardware are OK. i've seen better IMO. for exhaust manifold locking nuts. use these copper one instead: http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MIA-FST-031&Category_Code=FST

it's a little shop secret. but i'm sure everyone that builds powerful cars knows this.

44327-12010 <-- This is the number for the bigger lines.. the oil line is the small one right? These are the banjo style ones.. the two gaskets attached on one end.

15526-88381 <-- This should be the smaller gasket for the oil line. These look like they are just a single gasket.. You would need two for each end.

Toyota is cool with returns. The top one is the correct one for the water lines.. the bottom one im 95% sure is the right one for the oil line. Give it a shot, if it's not the right one you can just return it. Toyota is lenient.
