Hey, After months of looking I finnally bout a 1989 5-speed coupe today. $2100 bucks great deal i think for a car in great condition with 108k miles on it. Only problem is the digital speedo goes off every once in awhile. But everyone has that problem. Well today was a great day for me. Ok see ya

don't beat on that engine i also recently purchased an 89 coupe 5spd with 101k on the clock and after 2 weeks of beating on the engine and racing everything possible i have a cracked cam and broken lifters. my car is running on three cylinders right now with close to no compression and it sounds like a wind up toy

i drive my 89 coupe with 94k miles on it pretty damn hard, i've put 3000 miles on it in the last month, at least half of it driving hard or over 80 mph, and i haven't had to do anything except fix one part of the egr system. i figure i might as well beat on it as hard as possible now, since it's coming out this winter.

well just don't blow the engine within a week of buying it like I did. Good luck with your car. You'll love it.

I have 190,000 On my Ka in my S13 hatchback. I as well run the motor pretty hard at times. No problems yet that weren't an obvious result of my curb hump. Other than my A/C fan going out... I think It is the resister. I should have a new one in at the dealership tomorrow. Oh, later today I guess.
