so last thrusday i get home from work and feel like going for a cruise so i get in my 240, go to start it, and nothing. It stumbled for a second then just died. I tried again but it just turns over without starting. I checked all my fuses, checked for spark, pulled the fuel line coming from the filter off the fuel rail and turned on the key (got flow), i pulled the return line off the regulator and turned on the key (got flow) so i figured it was an electrical problem with the injectors. Before i checked them my dad came out to offer his two cents and pinched the return line coming off the regulator...it fired right up. this makes me think the diaphram in the regulator is sticking. Am i right?

I've already ordered an AEM FPR so hopefully that is the problem.

My Setup:
91 fast back
redtop sr20
stock turbo
FMIC
hks SSQV BOV
Greddy Profec e-01
power ent. cone air filter
full 3" exhaust from the turbo back (no cat)
STOCK fpr

P.S: once running it idles very rough, i can drive it and it runs quite well under load but pops and backfires alot more than it normaly does when im off the throttle. I dont have wideband o2 but i think im running very rich (excessive fuel pressure?)

Dont blame the FPR right away. double check the usual stuff...spark plugs (what are you running and what gap), CAS timing...etc.
