Bride seats. Non-stop problems. *venting*

Ok, here goes. I'm not sure if you guys read the private sellers review section, but me and some other zilvians posted up there. The thread was about Bride seats, bought from TeamBadRun, who also posts here. Well, after almost a month of waiting, my Ergo II's came in. When they finally came in, I checked them out. Turns out, there were zipties on the bottom of both seats. It doesn't look like they are holding the fabric, but still, these are Bride's, they SHOULDN'T have ANY zipties. At this point, I was like fuck it, as long as they are real. They could have been Bride rejects, that didn't pass the strict guidelines, for perfect seats. I was able to live with that. I also ordered a rail, from the same person, and it came in today. I was like, so happy, that I could bolt the seat down. Guess what? The seat, doesn't even fit the rail. Now, since I have an ergo II, is the MO rail going to work? I did some research, and there is also an RO rail, that from the looks of it, would fit perfect. The thing is, that the RO rail, is not easily found, like the type MO rail. Even when I went on the Bride USA distributor website, there was no part numbers, for the RO rails, for the 180sx. Only the MO, had a listing. When I looked around, some shops in Australia, had the type RO, which they say suited the Ergo II, Brix II, and the Bax II <sp?>. Now, i'm stuck with 2 seats, that i'm not sure are real, and a brand new rail, that I can't do anything with. If you have a genuine Ergo II, that's in a 180sx, please post what rail you are using. Please help me, this whole ordeal sucks. If I had known, I would have kept my stock seats, and buy other things. But, it's too late now, so any info would be greatly appreciated. :confused:

God damn, dude, that's all bad news. I got my seat, I still have yet to bolt it in.
Now I'm crossing my fingers and praying I don't have any issues.

I don't think there is a RO rail for s-chassis unless it has changed recently. To fit Brix/Xax/Ergo II on any s-chassis you gotta get MO rail and theres also an additional adaptor plate you need to get that Bride sells. Thats what tees told me way back when the seats first came out.

ask aspec.com on this one. as far as i know there shouldn't be any zipties on that mofo. I have a real Brix II and there are no zipties!!! This shit stink real bad. May be that guy who sold them will get punched in the face.

during last week judging the car show in houston texas, there are so many fake bride, there are even some fake recaro.
the easiest way for us to tell is to look for gap between the headrest harness holes and the clothes.
why would anyone buy bride from another country when there are importer here already?
I would either buy from Japan direct or Lot usa only.

If it helps any... When buying rails, all Silvia chasis, 180's and RNN14 Pulsar GTi-R's use the same seat rail.

yeh, I'm suprised you brought bride's from aus? did you check out photo's before you brought it?

looking at the photo's, they don't look like they are the real deal, ziptie's for one, the logo on the headrest looks a bit wonky and the bride material in the center doesn't match up with the genuine photos posted on the bride site as another member has pointed out.

genuine seats should also come with a plastic bag containing a information sheet and oval bride sticker... this can be ignored if the seat is second hand i guess :P

and to answer your question about rails, MO type suits BRIX ERGO XAX and REVS

RO type suits BRIX II, ERGO II, XAX II and RROS.

the new style MO types are two extra plates bolted onto the RO rail to suit the older seat though, so if you have a new style MO type rail, see if you can unbolt the two flat plates and bolt the seat directly to the rail to see if it fits... its a bit hard to explain, but pm me if you have problems...

also, if the seat doesn't bolt up to the genuine rail (ro type) you can almost assure that its non-genuine.

Well, I don't think I got the MO rail, because there are no add ons, or removable pieces. I think I will file a paypal claim, since the seller guaranteed me, that they were real. I couldn't rock those seats, with even a doubt that they were fake. I have built my car on a budget, and have continued to do so. I have bought countless items, at prices that are unheard of. I was hoping to get a deal, and instead I got screwed. Lesson learned. Hoping that I get my money back, i'll contact Aspec Logan for some seats. On top of that, I sold my stock seats, so I have nothing to run. Hopefully, this ends better than how it started.

the bottom of my ergo II looks nothing like that. the gradation is clipped on with a plastic tab and has a Bride Ergo II sticker on it. im using an MO passenger rail bolted right up.

Atleast i know you got the stuff thou, I was pretty worried at first.

I must say, that at least the seller is keeping in contact with me, and is very willing to resolve this. Maybe this can be resolved, with less bloodshed than I thought. :x:

Yes, you need MO rail for all reclinable Bride seats. Unless the seat is fake thats why it wouldn't fit.

fyi MO rails are needed. you have to assemble the rail out of the box. theres the rail portion and then there are plates. it is possible that you might have received the rails only and not the actual plates where the seats should be positioned.

regardless of whether or not the seat is real, the rail should work (with plates present of course).

zipties on a bride seat = bad news

i doubt bride would ever send something out like that...
i guess it could be a defect or irregular, so much so that the rails wouldn't fit, so either ways, that bites...

The rail that I received from Bride, has the plates already welded on. It's not removable, like the MO.

if the plates are welded on, i would suggest that they are gen 1 rails, in which case they suit the earlier bride seats such as ergo 1/brix 1.
