i think the 270r aero is nice and clean. you can buy the knock off versions at importfan's website or vis. i hear the fitment sucks ass. i'm not sure if japanparts still carries the authentic kit but that's the only place that i know that had the real one.

Wesbite? I might just go to Nissan when I get back from Iraq next year and order the entire set.
As far as the kit looking ugly.. I think it looks clean, it's not overly aggressive and follows the lines of the S14. I'm just doing it cause I've been wanting to do something to the exterior of my 14 and I think doing a 270R replica would be fun, not to mention my Silvia was one of the first 14's ever produced and it would go nicely with the history of 14's.

You and I have different opinions on how cars should look. I'll play nice and leave it at that. I just wanna know who makes a decent knock off kit.

Did you really just use "decent" and "knock-off" in the same sentence?
Good luck in your search, but if you want 270R, then find the real deal.

They only made 50 of those.. I'm not looking to buy another S14 that is actually slower than mine for way more than what I put into my car. I'd rather buy a kit, paint the car and buy the badges.
I said decent cause from some of these pics I have been finding of 240's with knock off Nismo kits they actually look pretty good.

why would anyone in okinawa buy a body kit from usa?
if I live in japan I would get the hard to find kits, cuz I don't have to pay shipping.
Koopa Troopa
06-16-2007, 05:59 PM
Because the States is the only place I've found them and in the end a knock off shipped from the US will still cost less then me buying the real thing from Red Stage Nissan.
Funny thing is it's actually cheaper to buy alot of things from the US then to buy it here...

06-16-2007, 06:02 PM
there are nismo knock off in japan and you don't get military shipping discount for postal service for bodykit because it's too big.
only made in china/egay stuff is cheaper in the state then japan.
Koopa Troopa
06-16-2007, 06:06 PM
I don't know much about Japanese body kit manufacturers.. I'm not a body kit person so I usually don't pay attention. Perhaps you could point me in the right direction then?

2. make friends off base
3. get off the computer and go out, you are in japan.

Have plenty of 1 and 2 and I'm in Okinawa, not Japan. Obviously I don't need to tell you there is a huge difference between the two because I'm sure you've been to both plenty of times. The Silvia isn't running right now so getting off the computer and going about isn't as easy as it seems.
Maybe I'll check my Drift Tengoku's for aero adverstisers...

hah!! nothin is new with cars playa it's all been done or someone else has had it before someone else. i think people should worry first bout gettin that top spot on the podium than how new their aero looks. just my opinion.
i would think since you live where you do, you should find a used one for sale?? if not, just check out those two websites i said earlier. the kits are about 450 last time i got them priced

might find some ads for that kit in some like 1996-7 hyper revs or something...

Slightly off-topic...You are in Japan, within the confines of Kyushu, to the south in the Okinawan Prefecture circa 1972.

look for a guy name fat daddy, he can get you the stuff you need and even paint it and put it on.
if you don't have a running car, that's what friends are for.
you won't have much time left staying in oki, enjoy it while it last.
oki has the cheapest used parts in japan and it's better then hawaii.

I know Fatdaddy, sold him an Engine 2 months ago. I've been in Oki for a couple days and will be here for years to come (EASing on Oki).
zero.counter... Legally Okinawa is part of Japan but there is a huge difference between Okinawa and the rest of Japan. Okinawa has it's own dialect, culture, people, history....

I didn't contest its nature or history, only that it is part of Japan. I just wanted you to correct yourself after saying, "I'm in Okinawa, not Japan.".

This thread is crackin me up. Mercer tryin to get Koopa to spin and he won't. Glad you are learning koops.
Okinawa is Japan, the chicks just aren't as hot:coolugh: and the tracks here are big parking lots:2f2f: . We do what we have to do. we pay shipping from the main island, the only thing I like to pay for traveling from the Mainland is my Fam when they go home to visit. Own dialect, you rarely hearin anyone speaking hogen except old cab drivers and that bum with the cart that sits outside K.A.B. asking for change.
Fuck that Kit, just get an Origin or DMAX. Get your damn car running.

I have the vinyl layout of the 270R if your interested. Its the layout for the complete car - I designed it a while back for a buddy - but he never finished the project.

You must not frequent Izakaya's...
Origin - Gay
DMax - Gay
If I can't find a place that sells the 270R hood (going to Nissan Red Stage today BTW) then more than likely I'll just buy a kit from Jun (I wanna hit them up for a counter balance crank and have them rework my Kaaz diff anyways)
http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/aero-parts/s14/s14.jpg
The TBO kit doesn't look bad either but I'm sure I'd have to convince one of my kawaii friends to call....

Only people speaking Hogen are 60+

No, I just prefer kits that have an actual purpose (for example the rear wing on the TBO S14 is used to spread the weight balance of the car). Forgive me for not falling into the whole drift car trend. I for one don't even drift. I like beating GTR's at stop lights and running through the mountains. I could care less about how people think my car looks because all cars look the same from behind.
Yeah good point...
oh wait, no it's not
ugly is ugly bro...

I kinda see how you are going, I didn't like a lot of the aero when I first got my car, but have since warmed up to most.
What do you think about Cwest?
I think it's ugly as hell, but it's reputed to be wind tunnel tested and functional, not that I believe that 100%.
Do you seriously think you drive your car hard enough on the street to need aerodynamics?

Uh actually over here alot of good looking girls dress like that....
As far as CWest kits go I've always like CWest. Sorry but I feel alot more comfortable buying aero from companies that build track cars running consistent lap times around Suzuka then from a company who builds cars to show off at Tokyo Auto Salon. I've yet to see any Origin or DMax cars running laps at Tsukuba or Suzuka but I'm sure someone here can prove me wrong.
But as far as taste goes that's a pretty low blow. I could say the same for you bandwagon Option Magaziners running around with 80mm overfenders and 12J wheels in the back when your car is powered by a over glorified T28.
I'm sure your girlfriend will still think your car looks cool when you get embarassed at a stop light by my stock bodied, beat down looking Silbeer. Take it with a grain of salt though cause I'm not looking to start internet fights. I just wanted to know if Raceon USA built decent kits.
Considering my S14 never hits the street, I doubt you'd ever catch me at a stop light
If you want aerodynamics, build splitters and diffusers...A bumper is the tip of hte iceberg with aerodynamic function
Koopa Troopa
06-17-2007, 08:33 PM
I'm completely aware of that and a front splitter and rear diffuser is currently on my list of shit to come. Gotta make it back from the desert first.

OK, stop talking about "street light" racing. Racing on public roads does not make you cool, it makes you stupid. Get over it.
You have gotten plenty of info on where you can start looking for a kit that suits you. Stop arguing and just let this shit die. Better yet, you're a Premie, lock your own thread before I have to.
Koopa Troopa
06-17-2007, 08:37 PM
Build a track on Okinawa and I'll take the car off the streets. With that said I'll lock it per your request.
