I ordered nismo exhaust hangers from mynismo.com thinking that it was all the hangers. turns out it is only ONE !!!!!!!! they had no pictures or decriptions saying it is only one. So to make it short and sweet I PAID $20 for a little piece of rubber with 2 holes in it. I could of just got all the stock ones for like 10 bucks:smash: :duh:

yea its 20 dollars each for those nismo hangers. They are somewhat superior to other exhaust hangers. They are a solid piece where some other aftermarket and oem has that slot in it. If you go to phase2motortrend.com....under exhaust acc. they have a set 3 exhaust bushings for 25 dollars. The only thing is that they are blue which looks kinda ricey.

It's worth it. It's a lot stiffer than stock hangers, and will stop your exhaust from moving/rattling unwantedly.

i thought it was common knowledge they are sold individually. spl had them for $15/ea at one point.

It said "hangers" and didn't have any pics so i assumed it was more than one

But now that I think about it I'm bitchin over a lost 20 bucks when people have worse problems like SR's with warped camshafts.............. ouch

Yeah it does come with just one and you have to specify. It does wonders though. I had a rattleing sound from my hangers before and after I put the Nismo ones on. No more noises.

I got the blue polyurethane ones ( forget what brand) but they are so stiff that I had to drill out the holes to slide in the hangers. Needless to say me exhaust does not move an inch.

^ Did you try a little lube on the bushings?

That's how I manged to get mine on. I ordered the Circuit Sport ones from Frsport.com for around $35 for three and they work perfect, my exhaust does not seem to want to move at all.

Glad somone knows what they are talking about.

$20 for some poser ass jdmbullshit.

I thought people had been doing that.

Pretty much free. Everyone has that shit laying around.

5t341tH: Can't figure it out? You just put a hose clamp around the bushing and tighten that shit. DONE.
Don't expect miracles if you have a crappy exhaust. This can only fix but so much.

cusco has some too. i believe the cusco ones are the same exact one as circuit sport:
cusco: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cusco-Exhaust-Bushing-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-GDA-02-03_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ42610QQihZ006QQitemZ 160100368074QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V
circuit sport: http://phase2motorsports.stores.yahoo.net/cispexhabuki.html

SPL parts said that nismo discontinued the bushings, that's why my order didnt go through last week. =\

i've tried the metal strap around the stock bushings; that can only work so much.

i really wish those were fully solid pieces. not sure how much those H gaps can do to the bushings.

I do it this way, put hose clamp around stock hanger, connect both ends, start tightening, taking up the slack, then take two zip ties and on each end run zipties through the hanger holes around the ring clamp simply to hold the clamp in place. Then tighten more... This should be all the instruction you need.

As a matter of fact, I think mine might have been circuit sport as well, got them for real cheap. Anyway, I didn't try lube (they were that hard, honestly) but what I did try originally was heating it up.

I had my nismo exhaust hanger bushings thrown on the same time I installed my catback some 2 yrs ago. They seem to have held up without incident, so i suppose they have served their purpose well to date. to me, it's worth it b/c it wasn't an expensive part(s) to begin with and it does its job.

of course, i can't fairly compare them to any other brand, b/c I haven't tried anything else.

don't waste your money on completing the nismo set. If your stock ones are all dry rotted, just get some ebay urethane ones. About 1/4 the price and plenty stiff (I got 4 for $25 shipped). You can always put a hose clamp over them if you want it even tighter.

I have a problem w/ when my exhaust scrapes hard and not only does it bust the clamp, but it pulls the hanger off haha

oh well

if i had a dollar for every time my exhaust was dangling down i could probably buy a new car

My exhaust has two Nismo hangers in the rear, but I kept a stock hanger for the center section. I have to let my exhaust have a little room to move, otherwise it would break off.
