A movie about brats and how they spend their money on drugs and alcohol; then drive under the influence just to land in jail or land in rehab.

Man I hate when I see kids with better shit than mine, lol. Like, a lady at work just bought her kids 2 extra quads incase their friends wanted to go or something. Im payin mine off the hard way, and I've never been handed shit like those kids. I only got about 2 minutes into the video. I see that kinda BS all the time like getting handed a car and not havin to pay for insurance. Only gotta put gas in it. Neighbors kids. Only good thing is they come to me with cash to work on their car, lol.

Just watched it, I'm speechless. I can't say I see that very much around where I live. No one is insanely poor or rich, everybody is somewhat on the same level.

fuck...cali is ridiculous $3,000 book bags...even if i was a millionaire i would never give my kid something like that. those girls in the beginning are just gross and annoying and the way those other girls were talking about how shallow LA is idk if I could deal with that, I cant deal with snobby people...One thing Ive noticed for real is all my friends who live the hardest lives are the most real people I know and thats the truth, and all the guys and girls who have money just seem so fake...It really is a shame that we have such a gap between the rich and poor in this country. We are supposed to be the wealthiest country in the world but there are still kids living like that kid luis while kids are pissing money away on clothes and accessories

My friend's parents were both well-know surgeons in Cali, and her, her sis, & her bro got new cars every 2 years. She got her 4th horse for a mere $26,000 and her sister had her own house in SD when she was in school there. I can't say I hated the lifestyle...I got to join in on it!

I can barely break into the four digit range on my fucking savings account.

Then again, a third car didnt help any.

I guess if you were brought up spoiled it doesn't really matter how much money they spend on stupid shit. But forget all that mess, I rather earn my stuff than be spoon fed. Although a few gifts here and there never hurt anybody. You have to learn the value of a dollar sometime in life.
Funny thing is I went to school with a bunch of kids like that some where my friends, I always noticed that they didnt care about anything.
"hey mom i ran my car into a tree last night"
"its OK honey, we'll get you a new one tomorrow"

4 digits for a fucking bag? hahaha

the only reason i spend $150 on a pair of shoes is because I have a size 15 shoe and those are my only choice lol

Kids don't get to choose how they're brought up, it's all up to their parents.
If you landed a great career and had the money, wouldn't you want your kids to have nice things? Especially if they go to a school where you have to have expensive clothes and accessories in order to be accepted, however wrong that may be, but you wouldn't want your kid to be the one who gets picked on. A child is kind of like a representation of the parent.

Yeah I live in a somewhat wealthy town and it gets annoying when you work for everything on or for your car and then some kid comes too school in a 60,000 dollar car thinking there they shit.

Good point, but parents should also know that there are limits, and you should really only buy things for your kids to live comfortably.

One thing Ive noticed for real is all my friends who live the hardest lives are the most real people I know and thats the truth, and all the guys and girls who have money just seem so fake.

I'm somewhat the later. I was raised in an upper middle class family, and my parents supported me through college and bought lots of things. Yup, I was spoiled when I was young. At the same time, they definately instilled in me the value of a dollar, but I can't relate to people who struggled just to eat a good meal.

Now I make decent money for myself, but instead of moving out of my parents' house, I plan to stay here for a couple years, save up then buy myself a condo. I have only my parents to thank for my success & comfort since they've always given me that step up so never had to struggle financially.

In a lot of ways I feel like my lack of "realness" is due to the comfortable life I've lived. I never experienced the hard life to build up that character & strength. So whenever I have an opportunity to challege myself, I do it. In addition to that, I'm trying to reduce any frivolous spending unless I really want something....like Xbox 360....forza....bride seats....mmmmm...haha. But seriously, I would like to move from residence to residence by fitting everying in one van/truck.

Anyway, sorry for the emo-ness, just felt like sharing

I havented watched this yet since im at work
but I see that alot more wealthy kids can do better in school and possibly persue a university or 4 year college...

I went to college, havent graduated yet, becuase I had to work for the things I want, so i lost focus and couldnt use my free time to study hard.. I also feel like im getting stuck at this rate.. I wish I had a wealthy family to support me so I could study during my time instead of working..

But yah I agree with a bunch of you, some kids who get everything they want, cant really appreciate making a dollar..

I know alot of girls that go to college *a university*, can go clubbing all the time, not have to work, and crash thier car coming home from a club, and then mommy and daddy will buy em a new lexus.. it annoys me...

Then I know some girls who didnt go to college, but work full time at small jobs but end up as managers etc.. thier positions may not be too big, but I probably have much more respect for them, they appreciate working for what they need and know more responsibility. And that makes it seem like they actually are just as smart as those other girls.,

I can see what you're saying, but i just don't know. If i had kids, i wouldn't want them hanging out with people who would judge them based on their material possessions. Because that's what my kids would learn, and that's all that would be important to them. I want my kids to learn the value of character, not vanity.
My family isn't rich at all, but my mom is working her ass off to help me through college. I have a job, and i pay for everything i WANT, but she pays for most of the stuff i NEED. That's how i intend to raise my kids. It's important to know how hard it is to make money, because then you'll understand how hard it has been for the people in your life to help you along the way.

It's already been mentioned but it comes down to parenting.
You can have money and still be more miserable than poor kids. I've been on both sides - in Guatemala my family was considered well off but when I came here we were poor - and have had friends on both sides of the coin too. Becomes more apparent the older one gets.
