what does waste spark refer to. and is the sr20det a waste spark system?:loco: proably a very newb question. i herd the term today and i was very lost

waste spark is when 2 plugs are fired off the same the coil pack. one will fire on the power stroke like normal and the other plug fed off the same coil will fire during the exhaust stroke of the companion cylinder.

no, the sr has sequential ignition. 4 coils on four plugs for 4 cylinders.
