Comments:

This is a project for my documentary filmmaking class, to finish up my last quarter of school for my BA.

After a couple of bigass revisions due to how I wanted to pursue this project, the following is the product of about 8-10 weeks of school work. Some of the reasons for the revisions included restrictions put on by the faculty of my program regarding the use of copyrighted music (we couldn't use more than 30 sec. of a song, without the artists' permission), etc.

Halfway through the project, I started realizing that there was the video I wanted to make, and there's the video I needed to make for school. I tried to make it as inclusive as I could to a general audience, without having to resort to the drawing board and having to explain wtf drifting actually is.

I dunno. Personally, I like how the project turned out...I learned a shit ton of a lot, since this was basically the first time I did any real type of editing. Future edits will definitely have more drifty, and less talky, though. And more skate-video-esque.

Ah, fuck it.

Enjoy.

"then you get old and realize you really are a noob" haha

haha...great documentary....i thought the drift to talk ratio was sufficient, and i enjoyed the documentaries, despite that i've heard it what they said before... good for a general audience, but i might have gone into a bit more detail about techniques or something

That was preatty damn good. I liked it. I agree with the action/talk ratio. There wasn't too much or too little of anything.
