Griffith Park

Things that will be needed:
- Paper plates and cups
- Avocados, lemons, limes, onions, tomatoes
- Sodas, juices, and other types of liquids
- Charcoal and lighter fluid
- Coolers and ice
- Napkins, trash bags,
- Hot dogs, buns and condiments as a secondary food or for those w/ different tastes.
- Boombox with the bitching tunes

Backstory:

Ok so there's a meet in every single city, every night, of every week. People are spread too thin, so all these meets are half assed and empty.

Everyone parks in some dimly lit parking lot in front of some closed business, little groups gather by their cars, no one talks to each other, everyone is afraid of cops and thugs. Everyone hates the community because they goto these meets and NO ONE talk to anyone. We're all so jaded, and defensive.

Solution:

So why don't we have a meet during the damn DAY. And lets do it somewhere nice, like a PARK where civics won't be driving by and coming and messing up the fun.

And let's be able to see who's who, and shake eachother's hands, and maybe someone could BBQ, and maybe someone could bring some soda. And maybe we'll make friends and everyone at the end of the day go "hey that was a cool event".


Who? Nissan's. Any Nissan. Everyone else is welcome too, but this will be primarily Nissan.

I could list a bunch of rules, don't burn out, don't litter, etc etc. But I'm pretty sure THOSE people, don't read Zilvia or this post. Those are the guys that drive by, see a bunch of cars, rev, and do burnouts. Hopefully we don't deal with them. They will not be commended for their actions, and they will be asked to leave.

I'm not an organizer. I just want to see people stop whining about the good old days, and start whining about the good new days. If anyone wants to help me organize this GREAT. I have a race car to prep, and events to attend. I also have a full time job, and work a lot of weekends.

At that d-series meet we just rolled up, parked and fired up the grill like any other large group of people celebrating a birthday. Key would be to arrive early to secure a good spot and get the charcoal going.

The Merry Go Round is one of the areas and far enough from the entrance and horses. Plenty of grassy areas around with shade and tables and no horse shit smell. We could meet in that section.
