For the past 3 days the rear of my car feels loose or wobbly. Everytime I hit a small blemish in the road it feels as if my driver rear tire is kicking out and making the rear shift out to the left. Occasionally, when driving at about 20-30 mph i can hear the tires squeaking, similar to how welded diffs squeak when driving in a parking garage but just not as loud. Nothing to huge but it makes me feel nervous driving the car. I think i've also noticed some tire dust on the inner side of my body kit in the rear.

So today, I put the car on the lift today and i checked if the subframe bolts were loose, the sway bars, the perches on coilovers, and pretty much all the adjustible arms. Everything seemed normal. I had gotten an alignment a week prior but I'm 90% sure the car didnt drive like this when i got it back.

I forgot to check the lug nuts but i specifically remember torquing them down the last time i put the wheels on.

Anyone has similar symptoms before with their cars? Could it be a wheel bearing? I heard when they go bad they start to make noise but i've yet to hear anything.

I do alot of drifting the car aswell.

Thanks for everyones time!

Check the lug nuts, I see this allot. Also jack up and rear and try and shake the wheels by holding them from the top and bottom, this will give you an idea of your wheel bearing condition.

Check your engine and tranny mounts. Don't just check the suspension. ALso look at you shocks and see if it is blown as well. (IE Oil leak marks.) Yes also check wheel bearings by pushing the top on the wheel in and pulling the bottom of the wheel out. Also rotate it 90 degrees and perform again. Check all the wheels and suspension. Good luck

Thanks for the info guys! I'll double check everything tonight.

I do have sub frame spacers. I also noticed it feels like the tires are fighting me more than usual when i turn.

I'll let you guys know.

Any info on this? My 95 is doing the same thing. I have yet to get under it to look, but mine was aligned in May. I need to take it back to have them do it again cause it pulls to the right more than it should.

rear subframe mounts.

check them for looseness or cracks in the bushings. It doesn't matter if you have collars or spacers.

gotta hate it when your rear end feels loose, although I've never had that problem

LOL... yeah seems like my 240 might need more fiber in its diet.

I will check those out tonight. I do hear a slight rattle whenever I hit a crack or sharp bump in the road.
