i dont have my high beams wired on my car, never really use em and i like the projectors better anyway (kouki usdm lights). i was wondering if it would be possible somehow to aim the high beam lights further down and not being glare city? i was considering wiring the low and high together and just using both as like a super low beam. thought it would look cool and maybe better visibility. but no point in doing it if the high beam is still gonna be glaring and getting me pulled over. any feedback?

Hrmm. I don't think the high beams go that low.
I would do it if its possible though.

1) im not on this forum hourly, or even daily. i occasionally stop by for a quick shit talking, usually when having my morning cereal for some laughs. lately, i havent had my morning cereal - which means i havent had any laughs.
2) i own a business. it has a phone number published on the website. dont be a homo, do what the rest of civilized people do - call and ask a question. dont worry, you dont have to buy anything.
3) your answer: no. dont be an idiot. a high beam isnt a high beam because its aimed high, a high beam is a high beam because of the type of beam pattern it creates.
therefor, with that out of the way.. no matter how you aim the light, it will always be glaring. the purpose of the high beam is to pretty much act like an unfiltered spotlight radiating light directly in front of the car, lighting up everything above the horizon that the low beam typically misses.
if you have an s14 97-98, find some xenon projectors and swap'em in. enjoy better optics.
two *quality* low-beams are better than a pair of shitty low-beams, plus foglamps, plus high beams. its all about being efficient with your light, and having it properly distributed. period.

High beam doesnt have any cut off. If you can some how fabricate a cut off shield for it, like how the Zenki low beams are, then you might get away with it.
I just cant remember now if the low beam turns off on a kouki when you turn on the hi beams.

Zenki lenses are fluted so I would assume that would help direct light.
Lowbeams dont go off when you use your brights, but foglights do.

does anyone read what i write?
why dick around with modifying the light so that you can have marginal results. instead, modify the light so that you can have REAL results.
1) you need good low beams, two of them - and only two of them. there should be no supplement to this, its the one and only solution... GET good low beams.
2) you need high beams. if you think you dont, you're an idiot. high beams are valuable, absolutely.
the only AUXILARY lamp worth having, and i have mixed feelings about these, are foglamps (not driving lamps like piaa and the rest of that bullshit being sold). foglamps have their use, but are rarely needed - they're a luxury.

I knew one of the two (fog or lows) turns off when the hi beams flipped.

Been thinking about starting a form over function forum.
Clothes that no one can fit.
Cars that do not move.
Home decoration tips.

No, looks like he just got some time off to reflect on useless bumping of old dead threads.
With that said, this is closed as it is no longer needed.
