okay my car was put to the side for almost a year already and yesterday i just finished installing the KA back into my car, I also finished my 5speed swap. I connected all the wires and tried to start the car but it didnt start. it cranks over but doesnt start. It sounded like my car wasnt getting any fuel so my friend told me to take off the fuel line that connects to the fuel rail and try and start the car if fuel doesnt come out then something wrong with the fuel pump. so i changed that out with a walbro pump and also changed the fuel filter to a 300zx filter. but when i tried to start the car again it still sounded like the car wasnt getting fuel. did i miss anything or did I not connect anything correctly. has this happen to anyone else, help me out.

try sparying some of that "engine start", i believe its like carb spray into the throttle body while your foot is pressed on the gas pedal, if the car starts, then dies. for sure its fuel. I would suggest checking the lines again. check ur injector plugs, etc. hope it goes well.

Start with the simple stuff,
Fuel pump priming?
Fuel pressure?
Did you install the fuel lines on the pump/rail correctly? (common)
Spark?
Assuming you have compression and timing isn't F'd. it should do something

Do you hear your fuel pump priming when you turn your key to the "on" position? It should sound like a lound whining. Usually if you install a walbro you would want to install a FPR.
