View Full Version : silencer is impossible to remove, rsr gt2 exhaust

i have been trying for hours to get this stupid silencer out. i obviously removed the nut and bolt that held it to the tip, but i cant get anything on silencer to pull it out. any suggestions?

run the car for awhile and wear a glove to take it out, it might work. OR just pull really hard

pull what though? the lip on the thing is too small to grab with anything.

What I did with mine was took the nut and bolt out and drove around then took the coilover adjuster wrench and yanked it out, worked for me perfectly

I got a huge bolt from Hope Depot and stuck the head in there to yank it out. I have to use it to hammer it in too.

My silencer comes out easily, and does it's job great. :D

Usually that will work but you can allways get a 1/4" diameter rod bend it like the picture above, weld a nut on the other end and thread it to a slide hammer. That thing will pop right out

i used something like that except one in a T shap so you can use a mallet to get it loose that what i did and my silencer came out easy

just use the tool u have in ur car, the one to turn the small jack, i use that and it works, already has a hook on the end
