I guess they're thinking along the lines that it might work the same as a cobra maf.

Cobra = 5.0L V8.
Thunderbird = 2.3L I4.
Even the later supercharged model is only a 3.8L V6. The size of the MAF is not the issue, the volume it's designed to flow is. Neither of the Tbird units would be beneficial at all.

87 (IMI) and 88 (Garrett) were both 2.3L the only TurboCoupes. The other options were a 3.8L NA, a 2.3L NA, and a 5.0L NA non HO. 89 did not render a FI Thunderbird. 90-92 were SuperCoupes which are a 3.8L Eaton blown supercharged engine. When they changed the engine over to a v6 as the standard platform (complete platform change in 90), they started using MAFs.

I don't think ya'll understand what JWT does with the Cobra MAF setup. They actually wire the ECU to be able to read 5.5v instead of the standard 5v which allows it to read alot more airflow. The extra .5v actually allows it to read about 125 more hp. The setup would max around 400-425 without it. Just FYI for those who didn't know.

Well, thanks for the input everyone. My friend was wondering if this would work for him or not. He decided to post it under my name instead of his own...since he doesn't have his own lol. :bow:
