I just bought a case of WIX. As long as it isn't a Frame, you should be okay.

I use Purolator Pure One filters, Mobil 1, or K&N. Usually Pure One though.

^^^ About half that and the PureONE filters are shittier than they used to be.

fram filters are notorious for not flowing well

I have seen pictures where people have opened up Fram filters and it looks cheaply made compared to others.

I don't think so, but I don't know shit about an SR oil change. Just click 89-94 240sx and go to maintenence parts on the left menu. Oil filters are on the lower part of the page IIRC. And Fram filters suck so bad I'd almost rather a bypass and not filter the damn oil. I guess you could say Fram has cost me more than $7.00 a filter in the long run.

OEM, Mobil or K&N.
But really, as long as you change your oil ever 3k miles just about any oil filter will do. K&N would be my choice since they're the easiest to remove.

^^^What this guys said. Proper drain interals matter much more than anything else.
Just don't run FRAM. I believe if you go to the link that PHLIP posted and follow the link that I posted in that thread (if it still works) then you'll find the test of filters and that the FRAMs are build with paper ends on the filter media. The rest of the filters all have metal ends.

SR can use KA and KA can use SR, same goes for RB. All will fit on either engine, the only difference is the SIZE of the filter itself. The KA one is like twice as big, so i'd prefer the larger one.
fram definately sucks..... i have been running k&n for the last 5 years for all of my cars/trucks.... and have no problem. the only fram filter i would use is their one called tough guard or something the rest are crap crap crap. k&n also offers a 1" nut welded on that makes changes a breeze as well - only drag is that they cost around $12 bucks each.

Only problem I have with PureOne is the color. Some fool a few years ago actually asked if I painted my oil filters to match my car. I switched to OE after that to avoid that kind of shit.

i use either oem or wix....i used to work at a parts store...so had those options....would have got k&n last time but we didnt have them in stock so i grabbed a wix...no problems...but like they said oil change every 3k miles or less. (but i like to keep my oil fairly clean...no use in waiting till its black.)
