How do you guys ship big things across like 5 states for cheap?
Grey hound?
Basically, I need something that weighs like ~150lbs, and its somewhere far away.
But I want it, really really bad.
So help.
Thanks

just use a frieght company, like raliegh or something else, if you google you should be able to track down something reputable. Hit up some of the shops who frequently ship motors to customers in your area, they should be able to give you a tip on who they use.

Greyhound is great and super cheap. The only hangup is that you have to pick the item up at a Greyhound depot....as opposed to a private adress.

i used unishippers.com to ship my motor from MD to LA. it was around 600 pounds and on an oversized pallet. cost me $258 with lift gates on both sides. took less than a week.

You could post it on www.Uship.com (http://www.Uship.com) and people will bid on your shipment. Almost like ebay, got my car shipped pretty cheap from Virginia to Ohio.

I have used GreyHound before. Good stuff. Kinda pricey though. Oh well, Pay to play.
Evan, I will drive it (the trans---vestite I am assuming) to you if you wash my back? haha. :bigok:

My work uses Greyhound. I think it's kinda trashy. But stuff gets there fast and in one piece. Granted we only use it statewide and things prolly never change buses. But, it works well.

Check with www.freightquote.com
It lists a bunch of companies and their prices so that you can choose. It's awesome. I've used them a few times. Then just have them ship it on a pallet.

I prefer to use R&L carriers because they don't interline... if your company does interline. You'll never get paid on freight damage cause they'll claim the other guy did it. You will if you dog it every day for like 6 months. I used to use freight quote till I got burned on that.

Fag, the first post said it was 5 states away. Your non-responsability havin'-17 y/o ass might have the freedom to drive 2,300 miles to pick up a transmission, but thats not something I can feasibly do.
