well my shop ordered the wrong diff, i needed a S13 diff and i was sent a S14 diff, apparently S14 and S13 VLSD output shafts are different, so i need to find some S14 VLSD output shafts unless you guys have any better ideas.
the diff is a Carbonetic 2 way in a 180sx type X pumpkin with a nismo 4.36 gear and HICAS 6 bolt VLSD s13 output shafts which are too small.
what i know i need
S14 VLSD output shafts
is there anything more readily available that will work?? J30? Z32? S14 open diff?
any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

what part is too small, the diff spline or the output shaft/halfshaft connection? the only difference in the pumpkins between s13 and 14 is the rear coverwhich should be easily remedied.
the spline on the shafts should be the same no matter what s chassis (except the HLSD equiped s14) it came out of but the lengths are different between the VLSD and open diffs.
as far as i know, all R200 diffs that have the 3x2 output shaft use the same diameter.
just make them send you the right part. no sense in paying extra for someone elses screw up.

The S13 and S14 VLSD out shafts are the same, as well as the J30s. Z32s work but are longer to accommodate the ABS sensor so they're not suggested to use.
Sounds like you have another fitment issue.

part numbers say early model and late model are different. so this is pretty lame

part numbers of the carbonetic diff? are you sure late refers to the s14? they may mean the s15.
so what exactly doesn't fit?

part number that ends in 20 is late model, part number that ends in 10 is early model. late model according to the site is s14 +96 which i assume is 97 and up. the output shafts are too small, they fit super loose and barely engage and the splines are different.

weird. i've got nothing. i still say make the retailer get you the part you asked for.
