So I only live 5 min from Lowes Motorspeedway.. So, I plan on participating in the HPDE there at Hyperfest on Sept 7&8th.

Anybody else going? I think it'd be great to see a bunch of's 240's out there. especially since they are also holding a Drifting Contest.

Also.. do you have to be a NASA member to do the 2 day HPDE?

Oops - posted the NASA schedule of events elsewhere but forgot about here. Sorry Chimpie.

I won't be at Hype-R-fest II, but I have heard a bit about it. IIRC, the HPDE is $300 and the "hyper-drives" are $20/session (first come first served) + gate admission. If you just want a taste, the drives will do - but being w/ the same instructor, etc. (as in the HPDE) will do a lot more for helping you start to learn about tracking the car. And yes, you have to be a member to do the full HPDE (but what's another $30?).

There is also a VIR-north weekend coming up 10/12/13/02. I should be there. I'm deciding whether to go to Negril or VIR? I need a vactation and can go in Oct or wait until next summer, but track time at VIR is hard to come by. Ugh.

Cool.. Thanks Mark.

Go to Jamaica! It may be hard to get track time at VIR, but when you need a vacation, you NEED a vacation.

I am going to be there at VIR. If I have to sell a kidney to do it....so be it....but I will be there. It sounds like a true riot.

PS this counts as my only X-mas present so it better be worth it

Unfortunately I'm going to be too busy around that time to make it. I'd love to go if possible, so if I can free up some time, I'll be there.

wohooo! Raleigh, NC! I go to NCSU and I ahve seen several seemingly wellmodified 240sx on campus this week. Well as far as i could see from across the street. I did see one that has Tein coilovers of some sort, some kind of 16" wheels, and an N1 Dual exhaust. Thats all i could tell from the outside htough... oh and it looked like it had a short shifter.

If there were a few more of us in NC i would say we should have a meet. But 3 ppl hardly warrants a meet.

I have meet with planb here in raleigh to ride in his car and apparently there is someone in raleigh here that has an SR with a ton of boltons and a PP head. He says its crazy fast. And the local performance shop: PM Racing did 5 other SR swaps this last month, plus one into a Nissan pickup... lol... go figure.
My friend is getting ready to have the Bluebird SR put in his 92 Stanza. The car will be a complete 4 door sleeper.. cant wait to ride in it when its done.
