I think eX-Driver has an awesome premise.
I wish they could make a live action version.

I could envision a trailer for it.

Future scene: People milling about in a city scape, a group starts to get into an automated fuel cell vechicle parked at the curb.
They look up upon the approach of a high whining noise as an out of control automated car speeds by them.
The rising din of a tuned pushrod V8 approaches, the pedestrians all look up, it's something they've never heard before, only read about in history books.
A bright yellow 1970 Dodge SuperBee launches over a hill in pursuit of the runaway automated car. The SuperBee flies by the pedestrians, as the whistling and popping of a turbocharged 2.0L approaches from a side street as a vintage S13 joins the chase right behind.

The sound of exhaust and tires fade out as the pedestrians look around confused. Fade to eX-Driver logo.

That would rock.

The manga was/is kinda lame story wise but, hey, for free I can't really complain. Good looking out.

Initial D 4th Stage felt rushed, Capeta is decent, haven't seen Ex-Driver yet.

cuz initial d 4th stage burned through some 30 volumes of story line in single season. they're not gonna make a new stage til the new manga comes out.
