damn fuel sensor... anyone?

short story, went sliding, rear end jumped a little, nothing crazy, didnt hit anything, had 1/2 full of gas. when finished it reads full tank. doesnt go up or down, only when i unplug the fuel wires completely do they drop, duh, plug in reads full no matter what level. anyone? any suggestions? thanks.

that shit used to happen to my car too. the float probly got stuck or it fell off. just pull out the sending unit from the gas tank, check the float and if its kool drop it back in and you should be good to go.
