I have heard some people talking about cleaning their IACV valves to fix idling issues. I was wondering what the best way to go about this is? I search but didnt turn up anything, other than others talking about wanting to clean their own. My car is a 95 240sx with a KA. Thanks any advice is much appreciated!

Big tube on the passenger side of the intake pipe. Pull it off and spray carb cleaner in it. A lot of carb cleaner, with the car running. I use like half a bottle in mine whenever it does that idle crap. lol

orrrrrrrrrrrrrr, take off the lower intake manifold and unbolt the IACV (4 10mm bolts i think)...then just clean it with carb cleaner for an even thorough clean

DON'T FUCKING USE CARB CLEANER.

USE THROTTLE BODY CLEANER.

Here is a thread for this.

Carb cleaner is more aggressive. Some TB's have sensors in them and it can mess some up. I've never had any problems on my KA and I'll just keep on using it.

Seafoam works, but iirc it fouls plugs as well as o2 sensors...

For the carb vs TB cleaner question, I think its just cause one was made for carburetors and one is made for throttle bodies... I would just leave it at that as well as just listen to 240falkon, I don't think he would type in caps for no reason
