Not quite sure what you mean by 'cut'
The trans is an automatic (TransHydramatic-350), so theres no shifter sticking out of it. It depends on where in the car you mount the shifter. I know the car it originally came out of (1973) was probably a column shifter.

Has it ever been rebuilt ?

Ah, got ya. sorry, i'm S L o sometimes. Not to my knowledge, no. Its on a stand in my garage right now, i took off the heads (iron) and oil pan (stock) to inspect it. No scoring on the pistons, no visible cracks, all rods straight and uncracked. valve train is completely intact; i wanted to put it into my truck, i just don't have the time or money to support two projects at once. just needs to be acid dipped and put back together I think. Also have the stock exhaust mani's, water pump, balancer, etc, though if you want to rebuild it, that might not matter.

As far as I know, the trans ran fine before it was pulled. i just drained the fluid before i stored it in my garage. I'm in Torrance

For Fan, I had a offer for $70. $20 for decklid, yes its black, but I need em gone, so $75 for both works for me.

LongGrain, sent you pics.
